DeAnna DaileyDeAnna Dailey | Web Development, Graphic Design

DeAnna Dailey brings a wide range of experience to the team with a background in Technical Writing, E-Commerce startups, HTML/CSS coding, and Graphic Design. She has worked with such diverse companies as skateboarding companies, niche publishing houses, dairy producers, and wilderness education schools. She believes passionately in the idea of the “internet as dialogue” and believes that if you want to create a successful business in today’s market, you need to give your customers a way to feel heard as well as a way to communicate in a real voice, not the voice of “business speak”.

In her current position with Heavy Guerrilla, she applies this breadth of experience to supporting the personalized marketing plan that will work for each individual company and their customers. In a typical day, she might be optimizing your site’s keywords, creating or proofreading new content for your social media platforms, re-coding the underlying code of your site to help it conform to SEO standards, or creating a line of branded collateral based on your logo.

When not working with Heavy Guerrilla, DeAnna can be found running around in the woods of the Pacific Northwest with her Border Collie dog, spinning yarns (both literal and figurative), and running nature education programs.

Thubten ComerfordThubten Comerford | Social Media Partner | Social Potency

Thubten grew up in Malibu, California in the 1970s surrounded by
celebrities. His classmates included Charlie Sheen, Chris Penn, Rob
Lowe, Dean Cain, Robert Downy, Jr., Holly Robinson Peete and Griffin
O’Neal.  He once wanted to become a movie star, just as his classmates
were, but eventually decided to leave LA “at the top of his career,”
following his appearance in a scene with Ken Olin on the TV show
Thirty Something in May of 1990. Thubten knew that Silicon Valley held
 the keys to his future.

After arriving in the promised land, Thubten worked in marketing at
Apple Computer and later at Mac World Magazine. After catching the
internet wave in 1995 Thubten supported Macintosh users for Netcom (an
early ISP), then moved on to serve as a postmaster for AOL. In 1998
Thubten founded a network engineering firm in San Jose, Samaya Inc.,
and after securing a contract with the Thai government, opened an
 office in Bangkok.

With over 70,000 followers on Twitter, Thubten is building his social media consultancy, Social Potency, which has been his full-time “job” since moving to Portland. He’s also been
contributing his social media and marketing expertise to two technology  startup
companies, Business 3.0 and CluePad. Keeping up with his blogging can
be a challenge, too, but he loves it.  He has two Meetup groups in
Portland, one for entrepreneurs called Startup Founders, and a Twitter
group called PDX TUG (Portland Twitter Users Group). He also volunteers
as a facilitator and mentor for @StartupWeekend events around the
country.
